Questions and Answers
What areas do you serve?
Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West Richland, Benton City, Finley, Burbank and the rural parts of Benton and Franklin counties.
Do you give free estimates?
Yes. Call, text or send the form with a few photos and we will set up a time to look at the job.
Can you handle the whole project?
That is the point of Atlas. Excavation, septic, foundation, concrete and the build itself can all be one contract with one crew responsible.
Do you work for other contractors and owner-builders?
Yes. We take excavation, foundation and site work for builders and for people building their own homes and shops.
Do I need a permit to dig a basement?
Usually the excavation is covered under the building permit for the house or addition. We confirm what your city or Benton or Franklin County needs before we start.
Who designs the septic system?
A licensed designer or engineer draws the system and the Benton-Franklin Health District issues the construction permit. We can help you find a designer and build to the approved plan.
Do you pour foundations for home additions?
Yes. We excavate, pour the new foundation and can build the addition on top of it.
How thick should an RV pad be?
It depends on the weight of the rig and the soil. We size thickness, base and reinforcement to what will actually park on it and explain why.
Should the slab go in before or after the pole barn?
Either can work. Many pole barns go up first and the floor gets poured inside. Steel buildings usually need the slab or footings first. We plan it with your builder.
