Excavation in the Tri-Cities
Basement digs, house and shop pads, footings, trenches and backfill. We run the machine, haul the spoils and leave the hole ready for the next trade, or for our own concrete crew.

Excavation jobs we take on
- Basement and crawlspace excavation
- House, shop and barn pads
- Footing and foundation digs
- Backfill and compaction
- Spoil haul-off or spread on site
- Sloping and benching for safe walls

What makes the difference.
We dig for what comes next
Most excavators hand you a hole and leave. We also pour foundations and build on top of them, so the cut is set to the grade the concrete and framing actually need.
Basalt and caliche are normal here
Tri-Cities ground can go from sand to rock in two feet. We tell you up front how we handle it and what it does to the price, not halfway through the dig.
Utilities located before we touch dirt
Every job starts with a Call 811 locate request. Nothing gets dug until the lines are marked.
From first call to finished.
- Site walk and a written number
- 811 locate and any permits lined up
- Dig, stage spoils, protect the edges
- Inspection ready, then backfill and compact
Excavation FAQ
Do I need a permit to dig a basement?
Usually the excavation is covered under the building permit for the house or addition. We confirm what your city or Benton or Franklin County needs before we start.
What if we hit rock?
It happens here. We look at the site first, tell you how likely it is, and price rock breaking or hauling as a clear line item instead of a surprise.
Can you haul the dirt away?
Yes. We can haul it off, stockpile it for backfill, or spread it to build up a pad or yard grade. Keeping it on site is usually cheaper.
