Atlas Construction
Prepared for Atlas Construction & Excavation, October 2026

Your website has no phone number. And four employees you've never met.

Atlas does the work most contractors can't: excavation, septic, foundations and the build on top. Right now the site says almost none of that, and Google can't find it. Here is the teardown, the research, and the new site we already built for you.

The teardown

What atlasconstructions.net does today

3
Pages on the whole site. Zero service pages, zero city pages.
0
Phone numbers, emails, addresses or forms anywhere on the site.
6 of 7
Photos are free stock images. One real Atlas kitchen.
0
Keywords ranking in Google, per Semrush. The site is invisible.
Current Atlas homepage on desktop
Today, desktop. The "Explore Our Services" buttons go nowhere. Below the fold, half the page is blank white space.
Current Atlas homepage on a phone
Today, iPhone. The headline breaks "Constructio / n" and there is no call button.
Conversion

No way to contact you

No phone number, no email, no form, no address. Every "Get Your Free Estimate" button goes to a Contact page that also has no phone number or form. A homeowner who wants to hire you today cannot.

Trust

Template people on the Contact page

"Sten Eriksson, Head of Design. Priya Deshmukh, Content Strategist. Hiroshi Tanaka. Sofia Ramirez." These are placeholder names from the website template. The About page still has a heading that reads "Device Specifications" and a stray "2-3 Weeks".

SEO

Google is pointed at the wrong website

The site's structured data tells Google the business lives at a Bluehost staging address (rqs.nnh.mybluehost.me), not atlasconstructions.net. No meta descriptions. No city anywhere on the site, so Google has no idea you work in the Tri-Cities.

Services

The money services are missing

Excavation shows up as "dirtwork". Septic, foundations, concrete, shop slabs and retaining walls are not mentioned at all. Those are the big tickets with the least competition in your market.

Polish

Dead links and a Bluehost footer

All six social icons link to "#". Footer says "Powered by Bluehost". The homepage hero is a kitchen photo with a pink tint for a company whose logo is an excavator.

Keep

A strong logo and a rare combination

The navy and gold triangle with the hammer and excavator is a good mark. And doing dirt work plus remodels and additions under one roof is a real advantage. The new site is built around both.

SEO research

Big tickets nobody local is fighting for

Semrush, US database, October 1, 2026. Keyword Difficulty (KD) runs 0 to 100. Under 30 is easy to rank for. National volumes are shown because Tri-Cities volume is too small for Semrush to report by city. The point is the pattern: excavation, septic and foundation terms cost a third of what remodel terms cost, and they are far easier to rank for.

Go after these. Every one has its own page on the new site.

The best local excavation site pulls under 400 visits a month and nobody is buying ads in Semrush's data. A 31-page site with real service and city pages can lead this category in months, not years.

What we fixed on day one

  1. One page per service and per city, each with its own title, meta description, H1 and FAQ.
  2. GeneralContractor, Service, FAQ and Breadcrumb schema pointing at atlasconstructions.net, with one phone number and service area.
  3. Two cost guides ("septic system cost", "shop slab cost") aimed at the KD 1 to 17 cost searches.
  4. Google Business Profile: claim or verify, set the service area, add services, start a review request after every job.
Google Ads plan

$1,500 a month, aimed at the big jobs

Search campaigns only, Tri-Cities plus a 30 mile radius, people in the area only. Every campaign goes to its own landing page with the form above the fold and a call button. Remodel ads wait for phase 2.

Honest caveat. The Tri-Cities is a small market. That is why clicks are cheap, and it is also why volume has a ceiling. By population share, the core septic, excavation and foundation terms add up to a few hundred in-market searches a month. If the campaigns cannot spend the full $1,500 because the searches run out, we move the leftover into water and sewer lines and concrete driveways instead of raising bids. We will know which it is in 30 days.

Settings that matter

Negative keywords from day one

pumping, cleaning, inspection, rental, rent, for sale, used, jobs, careers, salary, training, school, DIY, how to, Home Depot, Lowes. Septic pumping alone gets 90,500 searches a month nationally and is a few-hundred-dollar job. We block it so the budget goes to installs.

Tracking before spend

Form submits fire a conversion. Calls from ads and from the site get tracked with call forwarding so we count phone leads, not just forms. GA4 and the cookie notice are already wired into the new site.

Bidding

Start on Maximize Clicks with a CPC cap for two weeks to collect data, then switch to Maximize Conversions once there are 15 or more tracked leads.

Ad copy angle

One crew, dig to finish. "Septic installs in Benton and Franklin counties. Our own excavator. Written price before we dig." Call extension, location extension once the Business Profile is verified.

Phase 2, month 3 onward

Add a remodels and additions campaign once Atlas has 10 or more Google reviews and real before and after photos. Add a water and sewer line campaign if phase 1 runs out of volume. Add a Demand Gen remarketing campaign using the excavator video.

The new site

31 pages, built to get the phone ringing

Up from 3. Nine dirt, concrete and septic service pages, four remodel pages, six city pages (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland, West Richland, Benton City, Finley), two cost guides and three ad landing pages. Every page has a call button and an estimate form, and phones get a sticky Call, Text and Estimate bar. Your logo and your navy and gold are carried through the whole thing.

Imagery

Better photos and a hero video

Generated for this preview so the site looks like the Tri-Cities: brown hills, sagebrush, basalt, big sky. These hold the place until we shoot real Atlas jobs. The one real Atlas photo, the kitchen, is used on the remodel pages and labeled as an Atlas project.

The plan

First 90 days

  1. Week 1. Point atlasconstructions.net at the new site with redirects from the 3 old pages. Claim and fill out the Google Business Profile with the service area and every service.
  2. Week 1 to 2. Conversion and call tracking live. Septic, excavation and foundation campaigns live on their landing pages.
  3. Weeks 2 to 6. Swap generated images for real Atlas job photos as jobs happen. Review request text after every finished job.
  4. Month 3. Read the numbers. Add remodels and additions ads if reviews are in, or more dirt work campaigns if the volume is there.
